What sounds like the death of a Doctor Who-style computer, laid over some electric guitar rumble and squeal, heralds the coming of the vinyl debut of Sesso Violento, the second release by this mysterious black metal band with punk propulsion. Brazilians now living in the UK, that's about all I can tell you, and where I hesitate to drop the oft-heard comparison of Bone Awl, in this case the reference is valid, though Sesso V. tend to weave multiple concepts into each brief indulgence, and swap out propulsive blast beats as often as they use them for catchy breakdowns and vocal breaks that sound like orders from sci-fi air command. A throat-grabbing record that breaks new ground as it tastefully mines its influences. If black metal and American International Pictures had somehow thrived at the same time, Sesso Violento would be the house band, as there's something very "garage" about them; all the violence of the new generation of punked-up black metal, with a lunar module half-built in the practice space.

SUBUBTROPICS RECORDS has finally released on cassette format COPROPHAGIC SUBSTRATUM "A Libidinal Hypothesis".

Delving into heavy layered textures of spastic cadence and sometimes sustained harshness, this is the first cassette release by the brazilian/italian duo CS (on subsubtropics records). They bring into play free improvisational strategies whilst engaging with diverse sound sources ranging from large self-made drilling machines to microscopic singing bowls, the most hazardous kitchen utensils to the occasional analog synthesizer and the manipulation of, believe it or not, invisible feedback... All tracks were recorded live in a grotto in the surroundings of the New River in north London. The culmination of it all amounts to an uncontaminated but feverish discharge of libidinal sonic matter.

Im attaching the first COPROPHAGIC SUBSTRATUM product that has been released on digital format and free for download.
Coprophagic Substratum's Laconical Entanglement subsumes into its lo-fi sonic milieu the drastic performative outbursts of dissonance, free-formness and ugliness and through that it strives to reconcile the sound-material into a somewhat cogent structure.

HEAVY GNASHING

We recently got sick at the way things are turning into this new gay wave of the made up genre "Powerviolence".
Cthulhu Youth was not conceived to be another cocksucker fan band of man is the bastard,spazz or anyother band that comes out on Wikipedia under the term "Powerviolence".
Its a sad disevolution that is going to flow in another copycat dresscode movement.
When we started this band we just wanted to layer fast crap mixed with some good harsh sounds and sung on top of it any sort of shit that was happening in our lifes.

The only thing that has inspired us has been our friend and his ideas.
The translation of his lifestyle mentality to music has been one of the most sublime sounds our ears have come across.
He is the man behind the verb PUMP and the word CREATINE.


Cease To Exist is still looking for someone that is willing to release their LP!
I dont want to start banging on how cool they are and how "pregnant" of violence their music is.
Its a good mixture of LLN 80's vibe with some Hardcore beats.

has been the hottest call in afghanistan.
i felt like the telephone was melting on my hands while i was shouting the same phrase over and over again.
i had to break the plastic that at the time seemed only a useless outgrowth of my ear.
i smacked it on the floor.
the only thing i had left in my hand was a rusty piece of metal that i kept screaming into without bothering if anyone was on the other side of the call.
it felt really good.
i puked ferocious simmers for another couple of minutes till i layed down on the floor emptied of everything i ever kept underneath my skin.

Couple of news:

Cthulhu Youth 2 EPs and t-shirt are now out on HOLY ROAR.
We are playing on the 12th of March at the Unicorn in Camden.its going to be our first official show. We have recently made a limited batch of Patches.

SESSOVIOLENTO is one of our new projects that has been recently featured couple of times on W.M. Berger My Castle Of Quiet playlist.
Same W.M. Berger also owns an amazing label called Prison Tatt that is going to release our first Vinyl.
You can listen to one track of the demo tape (avaible soon) on our myspace.
Theres no point in me describing our music because i dont think we set anything in our mind when we deceided to make it.
SESSOVIOLENTO is basically Violence in pure filth.
Everything will be recorded by Sam Thredder at the RATS NEST same as our previous work.

Last but not least, I will be releasing my other Project COPROPHAGIC SUBSTRATUM on SUBUBTROPICSRECORDS in a couple of weeks.

Saturday will be the first recording day for our new project "SESSO VIOLENTO".
it will be the pure translation of frustration into music.

OMNIA MUTANTUR

Old Blue Last 22 of January, show with latitudes, hammerst and bast.
Should have been the first live session of Cthulhu Youth but unfortunately our drummer pulled out at the last moment.
We have performed with the sound artist Vinicius Duarte from Subsubtropicalrecords under the name
OMNIA MUTANTUR ( latin for "everything changes").
This project has been practised only a few times and was not expected to take part of the gig.
Simply, we didnt want to refuse the chance to perform at a good night like the ones organized by Friends Of Ahab.
Even if i could, i do not know what words to describe OMNIA MUTANTUR.
The sound resemble a cosmogonal warfare blasting in the celestial garden of Eden.
We are plannig on releasing our first track at the beginning of march on Subsubtropics record.

The next gig of Cthulhu Youth is going to be on the  12th of March.
